Sekhet was the goddess of fields and marshlands. She protected hunters and fishermen, and favoured their endeavours.

Sekhet has favoured you, your (throw) sticks have favoured you.

In the Book of the Dead the deceased requests Sekhet to let him pass, using the magic of her name:

Your name is [stone/tooth (?)] of her lord, Sekh[et] who dresses the hidden one whom she has brought forth, who seizes the hearts, who opens up.
